Kevin Comeau

May 2, 2026, Workshop 2-4 pm / Bavard'art Artist Talk 1 pm
Le Trécarré gallery and La Manivelle, Rendezvous de la Baie, 23 Lighthouse Road, Church Point, NS
Free (sign up required)
This hands-on sculpture workshop, led by artist-in-residence Kevin Comeau, offers a unique opportunity to work with self-drying clay to explore the art of sculpture. Under Kevin's professional guidance, you will learn techniques to manipulate the medium and bring life to three-dimensional sculptural works. The workshop is free and open to everyone aged 16 and up, but we strongly encourage signing up in advance as space and materials are limited. We highly recommend that workshop participants attend the Bavard’art artist talk at 1 pm in Le Trécarré Gallery first, as Kevin will share essential context and technical information that will be applied during the practical session.

A self-taught sculptor from Meteghan River, Kevin Comeau is known for his detailed sculptural busts and his ability to push the boundaries of fine art using natural mediums. During his four-week residency, he has been exploring air-dry clay to capture the evolution of facial features and the emotions associated with the universal transition of aging.
